Employers from across the Isle of Man are being invited to join an important event at UCM focused on shaping the future of the skills-focussed.
‘Bridging the Skills Gap’ will be held on Friday 16th October at UCM’s Homefield Road Campus, will bring together employers and educators to identify practical actions to support the skills needs of employers, further strengthening links between UCM and industry.
Open to business owners, directors, managers and HR professionals from all sectors, the event will provide an opportunity for employers to share their experiences, influence future priorities and help shape solutions that support economic growth.
The programme includes expert insights on the changing labour market, the skills young people need to thrive in tomorrow's workplace, the impact of technology and emerging trends, as well as discussions on curriculum alignment and creating more meaningful world-of-work opportunities.
The day will feature a keynote presentation from Olly Newton from Edge Foundation, a panel discussion and collaborative workshops designed to turn ideas into action and ensure employers play a central role in developing the Isle of Man's future talent pipeline.
